About National Association of Future Federal Executives

The National Association of Future Federal Executives (NAFFE) is a 501(c)(3) private non-profit and non-partisan executive leadership association committed to supporting the federal government’s goal of strengthening leadership for public service. Established to address the need for federal public service promotion and executive leadership career development, the association focuses its efforts on preparing employees for advancement into senior positions—from GS-11 through the Senior Executive Service (SES). NAFFE operates through a structure managed by a dedicated Board of Directors, a National Executive Committee, and committed volunteers and officers.

NAFFE’s mission is to identify, cultivate, and prepare candidates for advancement into the SES ranks. The association provides specialized training, networking opportunities, and resources focused on helping professionals at the GS-11 to GS-15 levels advance into senior leadership roles within the federal workforce. NAFFE delivers practical member services such as ECQ workshops, leadership development programs, and mentorship from experienced SES and GS-15/14 mentors—all designed to equip participants with the necessary skills for executive success.

Guided by strategic goals, NAFFE supports professional growth and effective leadership across its community. The organization continually expands its impact by launching new chapters, facilitating member-driven networking events, and maintaining a robust schedule of development opportunities. Through each initiative, NAFFE empowers federal employees to pursue executive advancement and to thrive in positions requiring strong leadership and thoughtful decision-making.
